Read prices the right way. An "implant" is only the titanium screw (€350 here). A working tooth needs three parts: implant + abutment + crown — €520 to €600 here, all in. When you compare clinics, always ask whether the advertised price is the screw or the complete tooth: a "€300 implant" elsewhere often becomes €600–800 once the abutment and crown are added.

You need an invoice in your name describing the treatment and a traceable payment — card or bank transfer. Dental tourism works when you know in advance what can go wrong. These are the questions patients ask us most, with honest answers.
Honestly: for a single implant with no other work needed, travelling rarely pays — flights and days off can eat most of the €1,000–1,500 you'd save, and your local dentist can follow the healing in person. Travel makes sense from about three implants upward, and clearly so for full arches, where the saving runs into thousands. Complex medical cases (severe clotting disorders, conditions needing hospital backup) are also better evaluated at home first — we'll tell you at quote stage if we think you shouldn't come. Yes: long-term studies put implant failure at roughly 2–5% (Howe et al., 2019 meta-analysis), almost always in the first months, because the bone does not integrate. The main risk factors are smoking, uncontrolled diabetes, untreated gum disease and insufficient bone. We reduce the risk with a mandatory 3D CT scan, guided surgery where needed and one rule: no implants over active infection. If an implant does not integrate, it falls under the written 10-year warranty: we remove it, let the bone heal and place it again.
Smokers above 10 cigarettes a day who will not reduce, uncontrolled diabetes, intravenous bisphosphonate therapy, recent radiotherapy to the head or neck, and anyone under 18. We tell you at quote stage, not after you have booked a flight.
You message us on WhatsApp with a photo and we reply the same day. For a minor issue — gum soreness, a loose screw — we tell you what to do or coordinate with your dentist using the implant documentation. No. Implants, crowns and equipment are the same brands you would get in Milan or London. What changes is labour cost, rent and taxation: the cost difference comes mainly from lower operating, staff and facility costs in Albania — not from lower-quality implant materials, which are the same CE-certified brands.
